Meeca Sookoo is a results-driven Project Planner and Civil Engineer with over 18 years of experience leading construction projects across the Caribbean and South America. She holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Construction Management (with distinction), blending deep technical knowledge with strategic execution in planning, scheduling, and project delivery.

Throughout her career, Meeca has held progressive roles including Site Engineer, Site Manager, Operations Planner, and Planning & Scheduling Manager—each expanding her capacity to lead complex, multimillion-dollar projects. Her portfolio spans high-end residential homes, university campuses, commercial buildings, infrastructure development, and large-scale land works supporting gas plant installations.

Currently serving as Project Planner at Pacific Rim Constructors in Guyana, Meeca applies a robust mix of planning and control strategies, including Critical Path Method (CPM), Time Impact Analysis (TIA), Rolling Wave Planning, Performance Variance Analysis (PVA), Earned Value Management (EVM), Six Sigma, and Risk-Based Planning. Her expertise in scheduling tools such as MS Project, and contract administration (including EOT claims) positions her as a critical asset in managing complex, time-sensitive projects. Her planning approach is proactive, strategic, and focused on measurable results.

Driven by a personal belief that her existence is intertwined with purpose, Meeca brings intention and impact to every interaction. She is a creative, solution-oriented professional who leverages innovation to capitalize on opportunities in both her personal and professional life.

Beyond the construction industry, Meeca is a mentor and founder of a youth mentorship program that empowers young people to build a brighter, more prepared future. She is also a devoted wife and mother of two, a nature lover, and an artist at heart who finds joy in creating and exploring the outdoors.
